The company manufactures cold drawn bars from its two production facilities in the Detroit area. Founded more than 40 years ago, Baron Drawn Steel can make both carbon and alloy grades and also offers metallurgical testing, among other services. Its steel is used in auto parts like spark plugs as well as for machine tools and appliances. It became a part of the Renco Group in 1994 and joins WCI Steel to form the groups steel manufacturing unit.
