Hickman & Love (Tipton) Limited is a privately owned limited company and was formed in 1948. The company's manufacturing activities are involved in manufacturing and supplying the leading precaster construction organisations in the UK with steel reinforcement for concrete products. The finished manufactured product is called "fabric". This is produced from mild steel wire which is then either used in its rolled condition or the diameter is reduced by drawing through a tungsten carbide die, this has the effect of cold hardening the steel and producing a smoother finish. The drawn wire is then either cut to length or fabricated to produce a ring. The rings and cut lengths are assembled in a jig, designed and produced by the company to meet the customer issued drawings/specifications. The product is then spot welded to form the finished product, namely fabric.
