Leggett is North America's leading producer of drawn steel wire. Seven plants produce more than 800,000 tons of steel wire annually, half of which is used internally, with external customers consuming the balance. Leggett has three major plants that supply our internal needs for welded steel tubing. Other customers also buy tubing from these operations. High quality and low cost make us a leading producer of these select materials. Other operations produce specialty wire products, including rolled, flattened and shaped wire; proprietary bale ties; and components for automatic baling.
