The company manufactures drawn carbon, freecutting, alloy and spring steel in the form of rounds, hexagons, squares and flats, produced in coil and bar lengths, in a size range 4.5mm to 76mm diameter or sections of equal area. It has a potential capacity of some 45,000 tonnes per annum. The Company's customer base is diverse, although 70% of products are manufactured into parts for the automotive industry, The Company specialises in the manufacture of precision heat treated, drawn and ground products and is able to offer complex products and a more specialised range than most of it's competitors. Kiverton Park Steel is quality orientated. It was the first company in the U.K. to be approved to A.I.D. Aircraft standard for the manufacture and testing of its steel products, and was later approved by the Defence Quality Assurance Board, Ministry of Defence (Army), Inspectorate of fighting Vehicles, Civil Aviation Authority and the British Standards Institution. Today, the Company holds the QS9000 qualification as well as numerous approvals from leading British and overseas engineering companies. The Company is the principal subsidiary of Kiveton Park (Holdings) Limited, which groups together four companies, whose main activities are steel processing, trading and engineering.
